Software Projects

Konsole

Konsole (http://konsole.kde.org) is the terminal program which is included in the KDE desktop (http://www.kde.org). I am the current maintainer of Konsole (since August 2006). I am presently working on the version of Konsole which will be included in KDE 4.

KOffice

KOffice is a free suite of office programs, which includes a wordprocessor, spreadsheet package, presentation creator, database and various other programs.

I worked on various improvements to KOffice's spreadsheet program, called KSpread, leading up to the 1.5 release.

DarkBASIC & BlueGUI

DarkBASIC is a beginners programming language which is designed specifically for creating 3D games. I am the author of an add-on (http://www.robertknight.me.uk/blue2/site) for the language which provides various useful user-interface components (buttons, listboxes, a web browser, tables, windows, menus etc) which are handy when writing editors for game worlds, web-based help or other applications using 3D graphics.

Amongst other titles, my plugins are used by 3D Mahjong (http://www.garagegames.com/pg/product/view.php?id=26) and Slot-It 3D (http://www.slotit3d.co.uk/) (a Scalextric track desginer).

Web-based Projects

South London Teacher Training (2005)

South London Teacher Training (SLTT) is a school-centered training course for students in South London. During the Summer of 2005 I created a marketing website to advertise the course to prospective trainees who are interested in an alternative route into teaching.

Young Enterprise (2004)

Young Enterprise is an organisation which teaches young people important business skills through practical training. I participated in the Young Enterprise company programme in 2004, and subsequently designed a small website for the Young Enterprise Croydon organisation. The website is intended to provide news, key dates and other resources for Young Enterprise staff and members of the companies set up by YE students.
